Pa, I think I'm a go Friday. The only problem I have is that my wife will have to pick up my paycheck and I might never see it if she does. :-D I'll get back with you later.

Thanks John, as you know we don't have rocks over our way (an oyster reef or two  , but no rocks). I've been a little reluctant to fish over that way fearin' a foot problem, so I'll check the charts like you said, and if I can link up with Almar I'm sure he'll stear me right. He could probably ...

I might be over St. Marks way either Thursday or Friday, might tag along with ALMAR, but if I miss him, what about rocks out from the Fort landing or LH landing? Sho' don't want to skin up my rig. :(

Yeah John, Rusty knows when I say "I think I want to try another spot," and put the rod in the rod holder, that I'm fidn' to head out, and if he wants to go he better sit his azz down. :-D Fisherman, I bet y'all have more grass over your way? We are just now starting to see the grass buddi...

East Bay Trout at PC 04/23/04

Fishing Report Friday 04/23/04 Man, What a difference a year makes! Last spring we pounded the trout in East Bay; we didn't have any trouble getting limits every time we went, and we didn't think a 100 plus trout day especially spectacular. Not this year. I'm catching trout, but few keepers, and the...

John, I like your suggestion and think it has to be a good way to really learn a bait. I wonder if I have the discipline to stay with it on a slow day though? :(

The Whaler was a fine riding boat and I felt very comfortable in it far offshore, but the deep vee prevented me from getting into some of the shallow ater areas I like to fish. Tin Can was with me once when I had difficulty getting over part of the Dry Bar at Apalachicola in the Whaler, and can test...

I like Key West boats. I have the KW 19-6 Bay/Reef, with a 140 Suzuki 4 stroke and a Minn Kota 55# thrust trolling motor on it. I have had it out 20 miles off Mexico Beach on a good day and fish every weekend in it inshore. It has a lot of storage space, much more than my old Whaler 17, (and it also...

I like to use the 1/4 oz DOA shrimp. As for colors, I like the pearl, the "niteglow," chartreuse, and pank. I raely use a popping cork or Cajun Thunder type cork. I most often cast as far as I can, let it settle to the bottom, and retrieve it back very slowly, much like you would with a pl...

TC, I'd just about fish in a haracane than sit in front of a damn TV and watch football. What a waste of time! Besides that, if I hadn't gotten out of the house, I would have had the garage to clean. I've been puttin' that off for a couple weeks. ALMAR and I are tryin' to get something goin back dow...

Bama Boys Find Trout, Finally!

Apalachicola Bay Report 11/16/02 Saturday's weather with wind and rain brought on by an approaching cold front, was better suited to keep most folks inside sitting in front of a TV watching college football. But while the weather was bad, it was not bad enough to keep hard core trout fishermen Don T...

I wind mine around a big yellow antifreeze bottle. I stuffed the inside with those styrofoam popcorn things, so even if it leaks, it floats. One time a big charter boat snatched up my fancy buoy, but since I started using the plastic antifreeze bottle people have left it alone. Since I usually have ...
