Re: Ponte Vedra porkfest

The next set trapped 2 boars although the game camera photos showed that throughout the night there were multiple pigs in the trap but they didn’t trip the rootstick (I had set the rootstick in such a way as to make it more resistant to tripping). https://briankiel.smugmug.com/Hpg-Trapping/i-wzHmQ9x...

That's funny. This is a low budget operation! 3 bedframes, some hog panels and shelving parts to make the door and the door track.

Ponte Vedra porkfest

My neighborhood has a lot of hogs and they’ve again started rooting up more yards to include re-rooting some common grounds that the neighborhood just re-sodded from a previous rooting. Getting em one at a time isn’t making a dent so I borrowed a pig trap to help correct the problem. (I think it’s O...

Geezer Weekend: Poker & Quail Hunt

Just a fun post……Two weekends ago, I and five other adult Boy Scout leaders (from Geezer Patrol) got together to share a little bonding time at the Broomsage Quail Plantation in Callahan. Here’s our trip as seen through the eyes of a lens…..it should be noted that this is my version of how the weeke...

03/06 16. Quick Cedar Key sheepie trip

Haven’t been fishing lately as I’ve been spending too much time in the woods trying to play with some piggies. Got to pass this on to a young man who’s never gotten a pig before. He took one plus a second pig that lingered a tad too long. Fun stuff! https://briankiel.smugmug.com/Category/Hogs/2016/i...

Too funny….close quarters piglets

This morning I headed off to the woods to spend a little time walking for exercise-sometimes I’ll walk roads & trails hoping to come across a pig or two. At the end of my walk I noticed some piglets ahead of me slowly working a ditch. Thinking I could get a couple of good close photos I entered ...

Youth DUK hunt at Guana: Saturday Feb 6

Had a great last DUK hunt of the season with my 14 year old daughter. Was a low of 49 degrees but extremely windy Saturday and that changed our plans as we are paddling a Gheenoe. There was no way we were gonna get back to the ramp if we hit open water to make it to a favorite spot. So we stayed clo...

Northeast Florida Quail Hunt with the kids

Last weekend for my son Casey’s 17th birthday I took him and his good friend Harrison out for a quail hunt at Broomsage Quail Plantation in Callahan FL. Casey graciously allowed his sister to come too. Having hunted quail, partridge, woodcock and pheasants with my Brittany as a child I wanted to pas...

Re: Tournament Redfish Pen

Not a bad deal.
I have the jumbo size and stock it with 6 -7 cobia for local cobia tournaments.
Recommend adding an oxygen system when you keep a lot of fish in it.

Cedar Key Veterans Day: no bottomfinder but lucked into grou

They say “ Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while…… [/color][/i]” With no skool today (& wifer working) our day began at 0525 hours in our driveway in Ponte Vedra as my son, daughter & I did our own Veteran’s Day tribute by saluting the flag & reciting the Pledge of Allegiance...
