Re: Offshore Carrabelle 6-14-12
That report sounds very familiar.... EJ made the same mistake I did opening weekend - that is throwback a keeper RS to begin the day. That, apparently, is the kiss of death for we caught only 2 keepers after that all the time knowing that we were going to load the boat..... and why wouldn't we? I ...

Re: Question for the GA boys
Having grown up not far from Brunswick area and raised fishing for "spot tails" as my dad would say, I much prefer the gulf. For one thing the tides on the east coast are more in the range of 2-4 feet which can be a pain in the butt. I spent considerable time poling or pushing our boat because dad ...

Re: Robinson Brothers - St Joe
I've fished with Chris R. and Nathan and caught plenty of fish both times. Even told them both that I was mainly interested in learning the bay to which they were both very helpful. One trip with Nathan I told him before leaving the dock that I had a limited amount of time and didn't want the usual ...

Re: Friday Afternoon Fishin'...
Great post
. On days like that putting a fish in the boat is nothing but a bonus. A bad day on the water beats a good day anywhere else....... Can't wait to be there myself.

WD,
Great report.... Had another thought on your "smokers". We were in the bay weekend before last and same kind of deal with us, had a school of somethings tearing up the water around us. My partner & I both hooked up time bait hit the water. Both fish spooled us before mine broke off 30 ...

PA, I, too, appreciate your reports - and your contributions. My dad is 89 and in fairly good health. He's the one gave me the fever for sport fishing as a boy and although a lot has changed over the years, I still get excited everytime something tugs on my line. :D I am glad you are able ...

Casey - great catch. We were on the bay Sunday AM, trying to avoid the wind and tea water. Actually, the west end of bay. Ran up on some slot reds, but trout were slow. Not alot of competition out there Sunday, huh? Everyone watching feetball.
