Most bass with sores on them are usually because they have been caught before and the slime coat was removed by either carpet rash or just from laying them on a measuring board. It's pretty common on Jackson since the fish are heavily pressured and caught several times . The sores shouldn't hurt the ...

Yeah, just about any small crawfish imimitation will work. I've have caught some on the big brush hog too and a couple on spinnerbaits. Like cotton said ,they peck almost like a bream when the bitemicci_man wrote:We were using baby brush hog's in pumpkin seed color texas rigged.

Re: Suwannee bass
We fish for them in the upper ochlocknee. They are not as plentiful as in the other rivers . Prettiest freshwater fish I know of and pull like a train when you get a decent one.

Re: Carr Lake Management
Leave it as is. There is nothing wrong with the fish population there.trust me.i have pics to prove it.Leave the vegetation as is and keep the jet skis and pleasure boaters on Jackson. If anything manage for trophy bass by restricting harvest and length limits. I don't think I even know what the ...

Re: Eating Shark?
Blacktop is the best I have tried with bull being a close second.bonnethead and sharp nose aren't worth the trouble we bleed them by cutting the tail off while its still alive. As soon as its dead put it on ice and fillet or steak out ASAP and trim off any red meat. Fried or grilled its hard to beat ...

any body can catch a redfish with a baitcaster.Try a bull red with 8 lb test and spinning gear on a windy day and you will give the baitcasters away.I have the 2500 stradic on a g loomis rod and love it.Got a couple more coming.BTW they should have sold you a bone spook instead of the one you have ...
