Re: Weekend fishing report
Nice report, I fished outside of Piney Island yestrday. I was on the flats near the red channel marker. There was afew trt around(3 keepers) lost 3 mirrodine lures to S macks. There was a few of those "bouy jacks around too. As high water made I went inshore and got a couple of reds. Then the ...

Re: Ramp at Mashes Sands ?
Just went and pulled the boat out at lunch. Tide was 2.3 feet. My depth finder is the lowest point of my boat in the water at about 1.5 feet. The shallowest it read was 2.0 feet coming into the ramp. So doing that math at a dead low tide you are looking at 1.2 feet of water. It's just sand so I gues...

Re: Weekend fishing report
I can't believe I left out one the coolest parts. Saturday afternoon at the mouth of the ocklockonee bay right in the channel I saw a 6 foot tarpon breach. We saw several more huge splashes on them was a huge ray. That was very cool to see though.

Weekend fishing report
Had some friends down from Atlanta area this weekend. We fished Friday thru Sunday. Friday we went out of Lanark and fished around Turkey point. We ended up getting chased around by a storm for about half the day. Really strange. It came out of the west heading east. We tried to skirt it to the sout...

Re: Ramp at Mashes Sands ?
Low tide isn't to bad. Probably got about 2 foot of water down the middle. Negative tide it gets dang skinny.

Re: Looking for some words of encouragement at St Marks
Just remember the trip out on the pond is the reward and the fish you catch are a bonus. Just saying. Now that is some real WORDS OF WISDOM! I know you would like to catch some fish and you probably will but....just to be on the water is enough! Plan your trip and go! You'll be glad you did.[/quote...

Harmsway is the right way
Me, the wife, and Mr Harmsway went out of Lanark today. We didn't exactly slay them but did purdy good all the same. Fished a good bit around turkey point and inside the lanark reef. Ended up keeping 4 (1 over 20) sent back 2 and lost several. Water was as clear as I've seen it around here. Trout we...
