Econfina 12/4/22
Had to fish in the rain for the first of the day but it cleared later and caught of few good ones. Fished the creek mouths on the outgoing. Casting in and around mullet schools produced reds and trout.

Re: Big day
Nice work gentlemen!
LucWilliams, if you see a boat shadowing you all day, don't pay it any attention. It's probably just your neighbor trying to bogart your spots.

Probably too much fresh water after all the recent rains. Try deeper.

Re: Snook
Just my 2-cents. I don't usually try to preach to anyone about keeping fish but....... Please don't keep the snook. They are just spreading to our area and are a great game fish. Let's give them time to multiply for now. From the reports I read, the guys on this forum already know how to catch ...

If you want to do the turtle hospital that time of year you will probably need reservations. Check on it now.

Because public perception is that a guide/captain gives his catch to the client. Is this perception wrong?

Re: Will trade creek glory holes for hints on where to net shrimp
If I'm reading FWC's regs correctly, recreational shrimping isn't allowed from the St. Marks lighthouse down to Pasco County. Looks like you have to go west of the lighthouse.

Re: Econfina River Nav ?
Oh yeah, going out there is a table rock on the left half of the river @ the curve (that is just after the last no wake zone where the houses are) so stay to right side & clear the curve before taking off. You will see it on your depth finder.

Re: Flamingo Fish’n
Was there the week before Christmas. Me my Son and some other friends rented 2 houseboats out of Flamingo. We anchored up in Whitewater Bay for 4 days. Nice to fish all day & come back & tie the boat up and step on to the houseboat. Didn't touch dry land the whole time. Caught trout, reds & snook ...
