Big day
1st post in a very long time, but couldn’t resist.
Luc and Jono try to give me a Father’s Day trip that did not disappoint. 4 reds (3 over 30”) and a nice 24” slot.
Two on topwater including the big boy at 38”. It hit like a tank. 2 on live bait that we caught, and a limit of trout to 21” (released, but kept 3).
New PB for Jono, and the biggest any of us have seen in FL!
What a special day. Thanks boys!

Re: Big day
Awesome Day.
We had a good day last Friday out of Econfina. The odd thing was we found reds every place we stopped. Up in the creeks - redfish. Out on the flats with stops in 3', 6' and even 8' of water - redfish one after another. We caught small trout, but only two keepers.
The floating grass mats have gotten out of hand at Econfina too. Mostly out in the deeper flats from 6 - 10 feet deep the grass was so thick it brought me to a halt several times. Up close to the coastline it was not bad - we were able to throw topwater.
- Thanks for your report.

Re: Big day
Crazy beast on topwater! Good day!
Ducks, turkeys, flats fishing. Who has time for golf?
Re: Big day
Congrats Gents. Great day with family. The bulls do seem to be around right now. Took our boys popping for trout a couple weeks ago and found the bulls as well.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Nice work gentlemen!
LucWilliams, if you see a boat shadowing you all day, don't pay it any attention. It's probably just your neighbor trying to bogart your spots.
