Re: Steinhachee Scallops??
Thanks for the tips. Is there any particular ramp or marina I should put in at?

Steinhachee Scallops??
I was kicking around the idea of heading that way next weekend. Any tips on where to go? I usually go out of St. Marks when scalloping. Is there a floatilla like there is at St. Marks or am I on my own? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Thoughts on todays weather for St. Marks
We went out today around 9 with about 3 other boats scalloping. Headed back in around 12:30 when it was getting pretty dark. There was a nice break in the weather right over St. Marks all morning. We kept a keen eye on the radar and figured we'd head in before the first sign of trouble. It was tough ...

Re: Fishing/Scalloping St. Marks 7/2/11
Yes. Lots and lots of boats out there today. I agree on all counts (size of scallops, size of meat, and of course the idiots). We limited out in about 2 hrs. Just 3 of us swimming, harvesting for 4 people. I'd say most people were pretty courteous and well behaved except of course for that jack ...

Re: Wakulla Reef/St. Marks Reef
Got out to St. Marks Reef today. Caught a few ramoras, got into a couple small cobia, some black sea bass, and did pull 3-4 grunts in about 45 minutes. Good time had by all.

Re: fish bouy/marker (offshore)
Tom, does the buoy come with the weight or is that a separate purchase?

Wakulla Reef/St. Marks Reef
Newbie question, but what do these reefs usually ? Just black seabass and small grunts or something/anything else? Or nothing?
