John Johansen out of Bud n Mary's in Islamorada. Had small window of time to go because of weather, but put us on some back country tarpon. He is very personable and knowledgeable, learned alot from him and is family friendly. He got my vote.

I always land them on the west end of talquin, but need a boat. I call them Choupique, that is about all they are good for other than testing line and drag.

As someone who gets paid to use knives for a living as well as clean thousands of pounds of fish & game. I have quite the selection of knives. My two consistent go to's are the Mundial 8" stiff and the 6" curved. To me the dexter russels don't hold up as well nor keep an edge, the handle feels weird ...
