Playing Hooky...

The wife and I took the day to look at some new homes and get some much needed work done around the house. We made the call to make a river run after our chores were complete and headed to St Marks. It was a little overcast and windy as all get out. We went to a spot that I know holds fish this time of year, dropped anchor and began to fish. Being chivalrous, I baited the wife's hook and let her make first cast. Long story short, she had two reds, three mangrove snapper before I even got a line wet. Finally, she let me cast and I hooked up with a short red. As I was taking the fish off, I heard the heart pumping sound of screaming drag and line peeling off the spool. I put my rod up to assist her with the bruiser. Short little fight and dinner was caught.
