Re: New Weldbilt owner here!
]Thanks everyone. I've been looking for a boat to replace my 1436 for almost a year now. I'm glad I was patient. Setty, I install public safety radio systems. Mainly mobile radios. Also public safety equipment (lights, sirens, etc.) http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii587/muddyford911/2012-09-11_1...

Re: New Weldbilt owner here!
Got the boat back from Shields today, and man they did an AWESOME job. I got a chance to run it and managed to get 31 MPH @ 5200 RPM. http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii587/muddyford911/IMG_20130504_190309_894_zps3cf95e1a.jpg http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii587/muddyford911/IMG_20130504_190...

Re: Piney Z Report - 4/10/13
Didn't weigh or measure it, but my finely calibrated elbow scale estimated 8-10 lbs. Seems like most of the fish I catch out of there are decent size. I slipped my jon boat in there a couple times and fished around the cypress trees across the lake and did well with Rapala X-raps.

Re: Piney Z Report - 4/10/13
One of the biggest bass I ever caught was out of Piney z. Caught it off the second finger on one of those chatter baits. If I recall it was dark blue or black in color and fishing it slow almost like a plastic worm.

Re: New Weldbilt owner here!
Well yesterday I used the forklift at the shop to raise the boat off the trailer just enougjt to adjust the bunks. Only took about 45 mins to do by myself. When I was done I still had time to mount a 3 LED clearance bar on the trailer. I didn't have to have it, but I wanted to stand out a little mor...

Re: New Weldbilt owner here!
Fellas, I'm planning on having a battery and at least 12 gallons of fuel back there along with the motor. Steve, you made a good point about ride ride quality. Something I overlooked. I'll do some math to calculate roughly how much weight will be back there. If you look at the middle of the lower de...

Re: New Weldbilt owner here!
Sweet, thanks guys.
Dave: I've got a 40 ETECH going on the back, maybe with a back plate.
Thomas: the console isn't mounted yet, but will likely go where it is in the pics. Mainly to balance weight, but also to make it easier to see objects in the water in front of me.

New Weldbilt owner here!
Just picked up my spankin' new Weldbilt 1752 yesterday. So far all I've done is added LED trailer lights. My first plan of action is to adjust the bunks on the trailer. Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this? http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii587/muddyford911/IMG_20130406_173416_62...

Re: pics of led/hid/halogen fog lights
You can get a pair of Rigid Duallys for about $170. Money well spent if you ask me. I wouldn't be surprised if they outlasted your truck. They advertise only drawing 1.25 amps per pair, but when I checked with my meter they were drawing 1.75 amps. Still not bad for the amount of light output. I have...

Re: pics of led/hid/halogen fog lights
What are you're plans for the lights? Are you looking for a flood light to illuminate a wide area directly in front of the boat? Or do you want a "spot" beam to concentrate light way out in front? 2500 lm seems a little skimpy to me, unless its a spot beam. Rigid Industries, Vision X, and ...
