Re: Bainbridge to Apalach
Thanks for the comments. Think the plan is to top off fuel on the lake just in case. Spoke to the lock operator yesterday. They work four 10's, but said if you schedule ahead of time they will send someone to operate the lock for you. Looks like we're set!

Re: Bainbridge to Apalach
A 24' Sportsman bay boat with a 300hp. It holds 65 gallons of fuel, and I think I can get right at 3mpg loaded down.

Bainbridge to Apalach
Anyone here ever taken the Flint from Bainbridge through Lake Seminole and the Apalachicola into Apalach? Thinking about doing the trip next month and spending a weekend in Apalach, but unsure of how long of a boat ride to plan for. Just over 100 miles as the crow flies, but I'm guessing you could ...

Re: GPS coordinates
May be a dumb question, but should my GPX coordinates be the same as the coordinates saved in excel? I was able to get everything converted and on the map all looks ok, but when I view the waypoint, the coordinates in my chartplotter don't agree to my excel numbers?

GPS coordinates
Anyone ever used an online tool to convert an excel file into a format compatible with your chartplotter so they can be imported into said chartplotter? I've got an excel file that needs to be converted to GPX, but each time I do the conversion the coordinates are showing up in India? When entered ...

Ditto. Stand-up guy, and you won't find anyone takes more pride in their work.

I’m pondering which trolling motor to put on our new boat, a 247 Sportsman. I believe I’m sold on 112lb/36v, however I’m contemplating the shaft length and also which model to choose. Can anyone can share about their personal experience with the auto stow/deploy system on the Ulterra. I have heard ...

Re: 2002 Key West 1720
Thanks guys. It's been a great boat for us. The Mrs. and I got it 10 years ago when it was just the two of us, and it was perfect. We have 4 and 7 year old daughters now so things had gotten a little tight on Miss Key Key.

Re: Anybody fishing the Big Bend Saltwater Classic?
The registration fee is $65 per person. If you want to enter the jackpots, then there are additional fees ($30 for each jackpot, except $40 for Kingfish and Redfish). The winning Redfish is going to be about a $4000 prize (depending on how many folks get in on the jackpot)! Or, you could not enter ...

Trolling Motor Questions
I'm looking to install (more accurately, get someone else to install) a trolling motor on my 1720cc Key West Sportsman, and I've got a couple of questions that I'm curious if anyone can help me with. First off, I'm leaning towards a 70lb thrust Riptide, hand controlled (unsure of which bow mount ...

Re: Recommendations
I faced the same dilemma last weekend. After much consideration, my sister, soon-to-be brother in-law, wife, three year old, and I hit St. Marks for a few hours last Saturday. Most of the time, there were 3 scalloping and 1 just playing in the water with the kiddo. We scalloped for about 4 hours and ...

Thanks for the advice fellas. Come to find out, the Mrs. wants to hit St. Marks anyways in hopes of prettier water. Hopefully we'll be able to pick up enough for dinner for 4 of us...
