Re: grouper
We tried on Monday afternoon without any luck. The water was very dark. Maybe a foot or two visibility. We slow trolled and used cut bait. Only picked up some grunts so they are still out there.

Re: Help … needing a range/space to use.
The Apalachicola range has a 100 yard side, if you are brave enough to go out there.
Also, in Wakulla County the Otter Creek sheriff's range can be used for a small daily fee and they have 100 yard and a longer range for rifles. They are located between Sopchoppy and Medart.

Large Rifle primers needed.
Does anyone have any Large Rifle Primers they would sell? Don't have to be for mag. loads as standard loads are what I use. Looking for 100 or 200 primers. Don't need 1000 which is about the smallest number that can be bought when or if available.

Re: Gag Grouper Trolling Setup
I use mono 35 to 50 pound line on my reel and 60 to 80 pound floro as a leader. If pulling in 25 to 35 feet you will need to use the 25's. If in 40 feet or more the 35"s work great. In the deeper waters I like to pull one 25 and one 35 to cover more of the water depths. I pull two lines at between 4 ...

Re: Yesterday at Rotary Reef.
We saw no bait pods while out. There were not many birds either. Did see a pod of dolphins and a turtle just after high tide. The water was stained enough we could not see color until about 5 feet. We threw and trolled a red & white jig thinking we might pick up a Spanish or Cobia but nothing except ...

Yesterday at Rotary Reef.
My son, 2 grandson's and I tried for gag grouper yesterday. First pass trolling we boated a 22 incher as we did on the second and third pass. We worked that area and one other and ended up with a 26 inch and a 25 inch. We caught two that were right at the 24 inch mark, but, they went back into the ...

Re: Status of Mashes Sands Boat Ramp?
Was by there Wednesday and it was closed off as was Mashes Sands Beach road at the ramp turn in. Think I remember from the local mullet wrapper sometime last month that the ramp would be closed for several months.

Re: Local Boat Ramp Status?
Rode down to Mash Sands last evening and the ramp is open, clean with the floating dock in place. There were lights in the bathroom. Have NO idea if the channel has sanded in or not. One truck and trailer was in the parking lot.

Re: Spray-on bedliner? Or drop-in?
I vote for the spray in liners, but make sure it is a good one like Rino liner or Linex. Have had mine for 11 years and had it done over the top edge of the box like a rail cap. Very durable and stuff does not slide around like with a slick finish. Well worth the cost.

Here is a THANK YOU to all the vets out there from me and my family. Not always easy being away from family for months at a time, but, I would not change anything.
