Will try them next time. I've done well with the gulp over the years but they are rather pricey.
They catch fish no doubt but I don't think they are worth the price during the warmer months especially. I'll fish them some in cold water when every little bit helps to coax a strike but they are ...

Re: LADYFISH EVERYWHERE!!!
Yep. Had a blast catching them but they ate through most of our bait. We caught some of the biggest ones I've ever caught myself too. Just seemed like they knew where we were going and had to follow us. LOL. We finally caught a limit of trout but no big'uns. All were between 15" and 18". I bet we ...

Re: today's catch 4-19 and 20
Wimpy little tides have the bite slowed down I think, but there are still fish to be caught.

Re: Keaton water clarity
Fished last week at Ecofina and it was stained. I was wondering if anyone knows what the water is looking like around Keaton?
Clear like usual. It'll darken up a bit <5' starting spring warrior area, I was there today, I haven't been south of Keaton in a while. Fished around rock island yesterday ...

Re: Advice Newport Park
The ramp at Newport can be a challenge at low tide. It's VERY slippery so use caution if you wade in there to launch or load the boat. There is also a bit of a drop off at the end of the relatively short ramp. Not really suited for big boats, more of a river boat kind of ramp.

You had me for a minute before this post. LolJohn-Baron-9 wrote:Yes, I have availability. Getting a lot of action, I think my price is too low. LOL. The $25 is total. Everything included. I just love what I do. I also allow all charters to keep everything they catch.

Man that's cheap. Congrats. You'll have to make a handful trips at that price just to cover your guide license, insurance and other expenses.

Re: Advice Newport Park
Appreciate the advice. May just try the Newport landing Saturday since I'll have all day, might ride the wife up the wakulla that afternoon. Also see something new I've never been on the stretch between the fort and 98 on the st marks.

Re: Advice Newport Park
Going to get some camping in before it gets too hot. I'm staying at Newport Park it'll be my first time, always seen it from the road and wanted to try it. I talked to the lady on the phone and she said that have a ramp there. Better to launch there and run the river to the flats or trailer to fort ...

Re: Advice Newport Park
Yeah probably. Just wondering how navigable the stretch of river is, I guess wanting opinions on putting in once and having a long ride out of the river Versus dealing with weekend spring traffic at the big ramps. I doubt tide will be an issue at the lighthouse this weekend, for my boat at least.
