Found some, but most weren't too willing to cooperate. Water temps still in the mid-50s.
Did see three rafts of ducks, about a thousand each. That was really cool.

Lanark Boat Ramp CLOSED
Launched at Lanark Boat Club ramp yesterday. The Mart has repairs going on to leaking pipes, so fuel is not currently available. Pumps are expected back sometime next week while the next phase gets underway (raising fuel fills). Mike the dockmaster was there at the time and he told me the ramp will ...

Re: SWS National Seminar--Destin
Unfortunately the 2021 SWS Seminar series has been cancelled due to the continued surge of the virus. It is the prudent thing to do.
The 2022 Series will also include a stop in Destin. Put January 29, 2022 on your calendar if you'd like to attend.

Re: Tide east of lighthouse
This is the tide site that I have been using for years. You can select different stations all along the coast. As others have pointed out, however, wind will be a big factor during the winter months. There are days on a strong north wind when the tide never really does come back in. Or places like t...

If you haven't already, you might want to cross-post to FaceBook Marketplace and the Pensacola Fishing Forum to get in front of more potential buyers.

Re: Hickory Mound 1/8
Good for you. I pick up trash every time I go. If everyone would do that, it would definitely help clean up our waterways.
Hickory Mound is state-owned land, managed by the FL Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Re: Hickory Mound 1/8
That area is very fishy. Take your time, study some charts and explore and you'll get it dialed in.
It is extremely disheartening to see the amount of trash there and elsewhere. For users who enjoy the outdoors, many sure don't respect it, especially when there are trash cans readily available.

SWS National Seminar--Destin
Wanted to pass this along. I will again be co-hosting the Salt Water Sportsman National Seminars session in Destin at the end of March with George Poveromo. George and I are the two longest tenured contributing editors for the magazine, plus he has his popular television show on cable. The day-long ...

Pursuit and Tiara were both owned by the same family. The family retained ownership of Tiara Yachts, based in Michigan, when it sold the Pursuit brand.

Malibu Buys Maverick Boat Group
News just out this am. Malibu has bought the Maverick Boat Group, which includes Maverick and Hewes flats boats, Pathfinder bay boats and Cobia center/dual consoles. All were produced in Ft. Pierce. Malibu bought Pursuit Boats a couple years ago, which is also based in Ft. Pierce. So Malibu is sudde...

Mandatory Boating Safety Course Proposed
FWC is considering mandatory boating safety permit requirements for all boaters. Currently it is required only for the younger generation. There are plenty of idiots on the water and any education to prevent accidents and increase navigational awareness would be good. I didn't see any reference to t...

Re: Is this worth fixing or selling?
It may be a software issue, Juan. Garmin ActiveCaptain allows users to download software fixes and that may solve the slow boot problem.
