Re: Flats reports???
Put in this morning at the fort, the river was slick as ice. The wind picked up a little and it was bumpy on the flats. Caught 3 within 30 minutes of each other around 9-10 o'clock. One was right at 15 and the other 2 shorts. Fished for another hour or so on the flats and moved back to the river ...

Re: Converting to usable GPS
It might be easier for you to download the Navionics app, and use that to enter your coordinates and get to the spot the first time. Then mark it on your GPS.
It'll cost you $10, but well worth it in frustration.
I've thought about that but once I get about 5-6 miles offshore, I don't have any ...

Re: Converting to usable GPS
Those coordinates are degrees.minutes.decimal of minutes or DDMM.MMM The change between the lat and long is hard to see because the numbers are all shoved together. In this area the Lat. will begin with a number around 29 or 30 and the Long will begin with a number around 83 or 84 so that is where ...

Converting to usable GPS
Now to start off I am no wizard when it comes to GPS usage. When I looks at the reef coordinates on the Wakulla county gps page, the lat and long are in a different format than my GPS uses. Here is the page I'm talking about.

Freezing Trout
Do trout freeze well? I've always just ate them the same day that I caught them but got to wondering if they freeze well. Thanks in advance

Re: Offshore/ Inshore 4-27/28
I have 2 Penn 113h. I have a 40# mono backer with 50lb power pro on top. I figured that would be sufficient for anything I run in to. I will add the leader of fluoro or mono and go with that.

Re: St. Marks 4/28
Yea it is a lot bigger than I thought. I was just given one set of numbers. Now that I've searched it, there are a bunch of different numbers. I'll get them in the gps and give them another shot

Re: Offshore/ Inshore 4-27/28
Kinda off topic but what kind of line are you using on that senator to troll with? I've recently gotten a few of them and can't decide what kind of line to put on them.

St. Marks 4/28
Headed out of the fort about 7 this morning. Went just east of the lighthouse in about 4-5 foot of water. The top water bite was good right off the bat. Caught my first keeper trout on my 3rd cast. Got a few more shorts on the topwater. Even had a Black Sea bass come up and sniff it but wasn't ...

Re: St. Marks reef
Awesome, thanks. I’ve found some coordinates online but it was hard to tell the distance.
