I'd be humming "Just some good ole boys, never meanin no harm. Beat all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born!", as I slid the fish into my cooler.
When fishing is outlawed, only outlaws will have fish!
I think I'll go get my boat wrapped in the General Lee Colors ...

Re: Would you still fish if you couldn't keep anything?
I would keep fishing. I fish bass tournaments in Ga, Al, Fl and even if I'm not fishing a tournament, I release the fish that I catch in hopes they survive to be caught another day. If all bass fisherman that fish fresh water lakes for bass kept all the bass that they caught to eat, the bass ...

Re: Whats happened to trout fishing?
I remember my father used to tell me that back in the 70's and maybe early 80's, they (my family including myself, I was just a kid) would go every weekend to anywhere from Keaton Beach to Destin to fish. There were about 5 families and all had boats and campers. The main fish they loved to target ...

Yeah, me too. This is Jason West by the way. Good hearing from you again. How's Ms Rhonda doing? Tell her I said hello and we need to get together one day and go do some fishing down there.Russ@R&R wrote:JWCamilla, you are correct sir! I sure miss Tommy & Frank.

Re: Vudu soft plastics
Anybody tried Vudu soft plastics for trout/reds? I've heard some good things about them from a couple of friends that fish the Ga. coast.
Russ, are you the Russ and Rhonda that used to put on the R&R tournaments in south/mid Ga? If so, I used to fish your tournaments. Frank and Tommy Watson were ...

Amen to that. Much rather skip the party than church. I'll take all the prayers I can get.Steve Stinson wrote:Well, if you got a choice between skipping out on a 6 yr old or skipping out on God, I would pick the 6 yr old. Either way, go fishing and I'll pray that both of them forgive you.

Re: Can't Catch a Break!!
I also feel a sever cold coming on and it might take me out of work for tomorrow! Especially after my wife and I just had a discussion (argument) over how much we have in the bank. I told her I was going to buy a navionics chip today for the flats area. She said we didn't have the $ in the account ...

Re: Can't Catch a Break!!
I was wondering if anyone would catch the "wifes cousin, son" thing. LMBO. My wife's first cousin has a son close to the age of ours and he they are having his b-day party this weekend. When I asked my son which would he rather do, he said he wanted to go to the party. They are big buddies so I was ...

Can't Catch a Break!!
Looks like the chance for rain is going up for this weekend according to the WALB Weather app. Yesterday it showed 60% for Saturday and 30% for Sunday. Now it's showing 50% for Saturday and 80% for Sunday! Couldn't go last weekend and looks like I'll be at my wife's, cousin's, son's 6 year b-day ...

Re: MARINE CB RADIO
What is the relative range on the handhelds? I know they are line of sight (all VHF mostly are), but was curious what the range is on those. Would they be good at Aucilla, Econfina, etc to talk to Coast Guard?

Re: MARINE CB RADIO
Yeah. A VHF is what I'm talking about. I've looked at Walmart and saw the Cobra and Uniden's. I just wanted one in case either we need a little help or if some one else does. The smaller profile, the better.

MARINE CB RADIO
I'm looking to put a CB Radio in my boat. Any one got any suggestions on brand? I'm putting it in my Chapparal 180 LE. I don't have a clue as to where to mount it in the boat yet. There's not much room on the console. I'd just feel safer if we have one in the boat with us if we ever run into any ...

Re: Sibiki Rig St Marks
Ive tried cast net and sabikis but the best way I've found is with a cane pole (what you southerners call a "bream buster" ).
Hit the grass flats pretty much anywhere and you will fill your live well in 20 minutes or less. Tip the hook with gulp and the little buggers won't be able to clean ...

Don't want to anchor up in the river channel. Boat traffic going to eat your lunch :o
Absolutely, no fishing in the channel. Illegal and dumb

Sibiki Rig St Marks
Where is the the best place to catch some pins with a Sibiki rig at St Marks? In the river channel or just right off of it or on the flats??? I've always used artificial baits but would like to start using some live if I can catch any.
