Not much in the way of a report from today. Caught 1 gafftop and a pigfish around cutoff island and that was all. Saw several sea turtles and a pod of dolphins move thru.

Water was very stained and wind picked up around 1230 so we headed back to the ramp.

Ready to come back and try again soon! :)

Any tips for fishing Oyster Bay? Planning to bring the kayak down to Shell Point tomorrow and fish in Oyster Bay with my wife. This will be the first time I've fished here. Just looking for friendly pointers Thanks everyone!

Thanks. That's good advice. Last time I was there I used gulp shrimp that were white with chartreuse tail and jerk shads in nuclear chicken. I'll try the tipping trick and see how that works

Big Cove is definitely a spot I want to check out. I have a Hobie so going a few miles is no trouble

I'm planning to go back Monday. I'll fish the shallower water near shore and up in the grass and see if I can find the reds. Thanks for the tip!
