Re: Non ethanol availability
The website below is pretty darn accurate for nonethanol locations throughout the US. They even have a phone APP which I use when I am traveling so I can easily find a place to fill up. It may miss some here and there, but overall it is pretty good. I noticed the new Rocky's isn't up yet, but it did...

I'll take it. PM sent.
Re: bent skeg
I bet you have a porters rock guard. That’s different. Apparently skeg guards corrode badly ( electrolysis from different metals and trapped salt). More importantly, the drilled holes that bolt on skeg guards use create a weak point where instead if the skeg braking off, it rips thru the case. Here...
Re: bent skeg
I'm curious too. I just had one put on mine, and it was Porters who did it!!!AugustusMccrae wrote:Just curious, why is this? Is it the ones that you bolt on or all of them?Salty Gator wrote:Skeg guards are bad news, they create a weak point. Take it to porters or leave it alone
thank you

Buddy of mine laid down some of those cheap gym mats that look like 1 foot squared puzzle pieces on an old jon boat. Did the whole boat for $25 bucks! Didn't look great, but man it was awesome. Felt like walking on pillows!!!

Re: FSU Football Parking
Probably end up doing that. Are you allowed to tailgate for awhile at the parking lot before taking the bus over?countrycorners wrote:We've done the civic center area and shuttle every game we've gone to. Its not perfect but its worked for us.

Re: FSU Football Parking
Thanks for the advice. I was planning on parking and tailgating as we have friends coming from out of town but it seems that's easier said than done, and space is a premium.

FSU Football Parking
Hey everyone, moved up here a few years ago and going to my first FSU game (VT vs. FSU opener) and wondering what the parking situation is like. Not seeing a lot of open fields in downtown Tallahassee for tailgating, so a little confused on where to park. Saw a couple of parking passes at the stadiu...

Re: 8.3 , Heading to Mountains
You can also get off 75/16 at Macon, go to Gray, Eatonton and on to Madison. No way I would get any closer to metro Atlanta than I had to. Yep, take 1-75 to Macon, get on 129 to Eatonton, then 441 to Athens. If you are going to Blairsville you probably want to get back on 129 in Athens. That road t...

Re: Yeti type coolers
I think the main thing I am looking for is one sturdy enough to stand on, a "cheap" poling/casting platform that does double duty. I'm not really worried about ice for over one day at a time. That's what I do, plus it saves space on my small boat. I have an engel 65 with seadek on top. Re...

Re: ISO 18’ skiff style trailer
Capital Hitch in Tallahassee may have some options as well. Not sure if they carry used ones though. I had a similarly sized trailer that needed almost a full rebuild. After looking at prices for all the parts I needed, Capital Hitch ended up selling me a brand new MagicTilt for $350 cheaper. That a...

Re: Backing up like a boss
You might want to google up the boat docking competitions for the work boats on the Chesapeake Bay. Have them at Crisfield, Salisbury, Pocomoke, among others. The waterman of Tangier and Smith Islands are pretty amazing. I believe this is what you're talking about...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...
