Thought SK would enjoy this...
Pretty darn cool boat handling skills I’m guessing some serious $$$ involved.

Now that's how to dock one !!

Re: Backing up like a boss
That's an extreme version of what my Dad used to call "the Destin flourish". The charter captains in Destin like to back in with "enthusiasm" to show off their boat handling skills. I tried that as a teenager in our little runabout boat. Cracked the motor cowling on the dock when the old Evinrude 2-smoker stalled.

Love those Carolina custom boats. And the skilled helmsmen running them.
Thanks for sharing.
Was covering a Bahamas billfish tournament years ago and one of the owners insisted on backing into a slip while the captain watched. The owner couldn't handle it and smacked into the pilings and dock, damaging the boat and slip. Poor skipper earned the nickname Capt. Crunch after that incident.

You might want to google up the boat docking competitions for the work boats on the Chesapeake Bay. Have them at Crisfield, Salisbury, Pocomoke, among others. The waterman of Tangier and Smith Islands are pretty amazing.
