Owls

About half the docks at Keaton have owls on them now. I have no clue how effective they are. If you are cleaning fish, the birds will come !

Keaton Beach would have to be my favorite Big Bend fishing spot, and I see people in pontoons every trip I make. Ocassionally we see wade fishers around the pavillion/park area, but i've never done it. As far as bait goes, somedays candycorn or electric chicken grubs under a cajun thunder can't be ...

Anybody got any info on the Keaton Beach waste problem ?

I heard from a reliable source that human waste has been discovered in the canal, and has caused some fish kill. :oops:

What a great trip. Maybe in ten more years i'll learn enough about Keaton to catch 'em like that. I've heard P.M. was a real tool, always accuses people of follwing him.

Keaton has 3 campgrounds that I know of. The old pavillion which is linked above, Keaton Beach Marina has a few spots, and the Gas & Grill.
Old pavillion and K.B Marina have dock space, Gas & Grill does not. I would recommend going to Steinhatchee for dining.
