Goin' Saturday?

Gonna try to get out by the lighthouse early.

St. Marks low is around 8 AM, high around 2 PM, if I remember correctly.

Mystery Fish?

What does it mean when a tourney lists the species as "mystery fish"?

Thanks in advance.

St. Marks 3/14

Got to the flats around 9:30 Sunday morning. Water temp - 58. A little on the choppy side. A few trout on live shrimp. Two 18-20" Spanish Mackerel using large Cajun Thunder and DOA red/pink shrimp. Both mac's were caught when I wasn't working the thunder but simply using as a float with the DOA...

Any tips and info on Trout fishing on the flats/river would be greatly appreciated. Especially the importance of tides.

Thanks.

Your Boat

Many of you probably already know each other. Just for giggles and grins - What boat do you own? Identifying features?

Just curious so I can say hello or wave or something when we're out and about....

I have an '04 Cape Horn 14/Johnson 50- 4 stroke.

Thanks.

On the Lighthouse Keepers porch

Married my best friend and soulmate at St. Marks in the pouring rain on Valentine's Day.

Mrs. Rascal forgave me (and understood) for glancing over the preacher's shoulder at the beautiful waters of the flats.

A truly wonderful woman.... and my fishin' buddy. 8)
