I went fishing out of Econfina with a friend two weeks ago and we caught 4 shorts. The biggest one was 17.5" They were hiding under a crab trap buoy!
How big they gotta be?

Re: Keaton 6/17/22

Great times! My wife and I were reminiscing today about the last time we went scalloping on the opening weekend at steinhatchee. I'm going to have to pull the trigger and find a boat so she gets a good scallop trip in 22. We went to st marks on memorial day and get checked by the fwc as soon as we ...

Re: Anyone going scalloping??

It's time for me to post my annual "why I hate scallop season" grumpy old man rant.....but I'll skip it this year. It really used to bug me when I ran my Gheenoe LT-25 out of the Lighthouse. The floating grass would be insane with hundreds of boat anchors tearing up the bottom. I co...

Re: May Fishing Report

My wife and I fished Steinhatchee couple days first week of May. She basically wore me out the first day 7 keeper trout to my 3 and she got a personal best 23+ inches. Second day results sorta reversed so we basically tied. Strange thing was we fished West one day and south the next but caught VERY...
