Red Tide at St. George??

Has anyone been to St George in the last couple of days?? I am leaving about 3:30 this afternoon to stay until Sunday and would love to know what to expect. We will probably just fish around the old bridge and a few of the bars near there. I have seen some reports of people catching fish, but I have...

St. Marks 10-1

It has been a while and boy did it feel good!! I haven't had a post in quite some time, but today was a change of pace. I went with a friend who wanted to get his 6 year old out on the flats for his first trout. We put in at the light house about 9:30 hoping to catch the rising tide. We headed east ...

Rod Building Kit - SOLD to the highest bidder

I can assure you that there is nothing more rewarding than catching a fish on a rod that you built yourself. Here is your opportunity. Last summer I decided to learn how to build rods and it was suprisingly easy. You just need the space to spread everything out. I have run out of time to try to buil...

Good luck. If you keep shopping that price range you can find some very functional boats. I found a 2002 19' Key West in North Carolina with a T-top and a 125 Salt Water Merc (loaded - electronics and all) for $13,995 the boat was in great shape and someone needed out in a hurry. It sold before I co...

You are on the right track with a Cape Horn if all you want is fishing room from a 17' boat. The 19' Cape Horn is also a great boat. I had a 2002 model 17' Horn (new body style) and it does have more room than the old body style. We had four people in it fishing, but it would get a little nerve rack...

The area has pretty good channel markers and no hidden suprises like rocks. There is an old sunken ship that the is in the bay just before you cross over to St Andrews Pass. The mast are sticking up and you would have to really be tuned out to hit it. If you need some numbers from that area let me k...

AJ fishing never really turned off. Any structure in 50+ has a chance of holding AJ's. Try some of the towers. You must just be begging for a sore back :-D :-D make sure and bring good live bait (pinfish or hardtails) for a sure bet and possibly a cobia!!
