Re: Trim/tilt
The fluid level is fine, but it still makes a loud clicking sound when I put it down. I've lube everything imaginable, so my next question is what could be causing it?
Re: Trim/tilt
All the way down? Or did you mean up?
Trim/tilt
I have a 1999 50hp Johnson with hydraulic trim/tilt. It goes up fine, but when it comes down it makes a clicking sound. I'm guessing it could use more hydraulic fluid, but I'm not sure which screw to undo to check. There is a small on on the lower port side, a larger one to the right of it and then ...

Water seperator
I have a 1999 Johnson 50hp and would like to install a water seperator. I purchased a kit that came with 1/4" port and filter, my fuel line is 5/16" and I also bought a 5/16" barb end to 1/4" port. Is there anything I'm missing before I install this thing? Such as am I supposed to buy one that fits ...

A nice way to end a bad week....
Went fishing with a buddy, put in at the lighthouse, fished right in front of the lighthouse and caught a ton of Trout (Kept six, biggest 19") all in about 2 hours

Re: Stalling Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke
I noticed the plunger on the carb has a small tear and just before is starts to depress is when the motor stalls. Could this be the cause of my problem?

Stalling Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke
have a 2003 25hp 4 stroke, has been very, very good to me, until I took it out of town fishing. Idles fine, very slow speed no problem, but when I gradually give it more gas from very slow it stalls. If I gun it real fast, it "jumps" over the stall and runs fine, in fact no problems wide open ...

Re: Boca Grande
Fished the area last month, I can't tell you about tarpon, but here's the 411 on the Snook and reds. Fish the mangroves between Gasparilla and Charlotte Harbor, its shallow, but find a small pass or point on an outgoing tide and you're golden. Also find Pilchards! They are the key to a many a snook ...

Transome saver?
Question, I have a 15' G-3 with a 25 Yamaha 4-stroke. I lost my transom saver the other day and trailered the boat with the motor tilted half way up. Any suggestions on whether or not I should get a new transom saver or just how to trailer my boat and motor?

Re: Fishing in St Marks
Took my two boys out late afternoon yesterday out of the lighthouse. Fished the west flats and absolutely nothing. Hit the east and landed a couple of undersized trout, a bunch of big ol' catfish and one nice 25" Spanish! But the fishing just seemed S..L...O...W....Better luck next time.

Re: Good Saturday Morning
I going to take my two boys fishing today, looking at the tides it appears there will be a nice incoming from now until 1:30pm, here's my question. Should I go out past the lighthouse and drift in or cruise up the St. Marks and try a couple of the deeper holes? I was on the water Thursday and caught ...

How about a motor prop?
I've recently purchased a 2003 Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke with a 9 7/8 X 10 1/2-F aluminum prop. I was wondering if anyone may know where I could get one at a resonable price (not West Marine etc..)? Or if someone may have one they would like to sell?

gone
Thank for the help, I actually stumbled upon NADA guides last evening and was able to put a price together. Unfortunately for me though I'm a terrible salesman and sold it for a little less than I could have gotten for it if I had advertised, oh well, my new boat awaits! Thanks

Need help with a price
I'm selling a 14' 2000 Monark aluminum boat with a 1998 Johnson 9.9hp. I would like to figure out how much to ask and need help with pricing the motor. The motor is in excellent condition, has been well maintained and taken care of and may have about 50 hours on it (pure guess). Any ideas? By the ...
