Water seperator

Post by Ratred »

I have a 1999 Johnson 50hp and would like to install a water seperator. I purchased a kit that came with 1/4" port and filter, my fuel line is 5/16" and I also bought a 5/16" barb end to 1/4" port. Is there anything I'm missing before I install this thing? Such as am I supposed to buy one that fits my motor specifically?

What Chalk said. Almost all fuel filter/water separators come with the 1/4" ports. Not a big deal. Just make it fit your hose and your in business.
