Re: Drank the cool-ade

Been wearing costas and smiths for over 10 years - I have seen fish that others couldn't see with other brands on.

Though the pair I have now needs the rubber piece replaced - they don't like sunscreen.

Thinking of getting some RCIs next

Re: Big green egg users

Need to try a trussed or whole chicken - unreal how good the chicken turns out.

Should look into reverse sear steaks - I will never cook a steak another way. Pain to take plate setter out hot but the end result is worth it

Think the fee came from complaints from "presnells" hurting business - you can launch under the bridge or put in at white city for free

Re: Big green egg users

Some of the guys on BGE forum don't even use a plate setter and just elevate the grate up higher for longer smokes. I use it to keep things like burgers, chicken and my hands from getting burning off when grilling at a higher temps

Re: Big green egg users

I continue to have a problem when I load the egg full of charcoal. The first time I use it after loading, it seems to do fine but after that it doesn't seem draw in air very well and I have a hard time getting a decent cooking temperature. I think the bottom portion that holds the charcoal gets clo...

St. Andrews Bay 04/18

Have a tournament coming up so was about to go out of my mind this week wanting to get after some fish. Left work early on Friday and looked into some new spots that I haven't fished. Wind was honking out of the southeast...luckily the place I was looking at was in the bay and somewhat protected. Ca...

Southern Bass Tournament

Fished the Southern Bass Anglers club tournament the other weekend out of Whitecity ICW. Fished out of my old boat - Big O bass boat - with my friend Hays. Ended up running about 65 miles up river to our first fishing spot. Caught 9 good spotted bass in about 10 minutes - I couldn't finish my limit ...

Boat cover repair

Boat cover on the Lake & Bay isn't torn or rotted - the stitching came unraveled on the perimeter cord. Seems like there was someone in St. Marks that made boat covers - anyone know of someone that can repair and possible add to a cover...thinking about adding an engine cover while they have it.

Re: Custom crankbaits

Bought the blanks from various places - predatorbass and bustinbass - have repainted some old baits too.

Yes - traded the Big O for the Lake & Bay last spring spent all summer rebuilding it - still rebuilding it
