Mashes 3/18

Post by Mako17 »

I finally got out on the water around 12:00 with my favorite fishing partner- myself. It was slightly bumpy on the way out but the wind wasn't blowing so the ride was dry. I get to my spot and throw out the redhead and tiger stripe stretch 30s. About an hour and nothing. Finally I hear my Penn zipping so I cut the boat and pull in a 24 incher. It took me about 5 minutes to get him unhooked and on ice. I check my other pole and see that there is something floating on the end. It's a grouper waiting to be pulled in. I start reeling him closer and what tha *** there are two on the same plug. I rush to get the camera and the bigger one sees the boat and decides he doesn't like it. He ripped off the hook and headed toward the bottom. :hammer: Pull the other one up and ice him down. Had one more on ice and one more monster hit and all I reeled up was a piece of lip. :smt010

Absolutely beautiful day on the water nearly smooth ride in.

Good deal. That "me,myself, and I" fishing is fun sometimes.
