Had to make a run to Walmart to buy another battery... Launched at the State Park and the tide was LOW! I ended up backing the trailer off of the ramp.

Luckily, my fishing buddy volunteered to wade in and pick up the trailer. Crisis averted. Motored down the river in shallow drive, super slow as there were lots of exposed rocks, beds, and traps. Decided to fish the mouth for a bit and wait for the tide to start moving in, spooked a few reds. Moved on out to the flats where I broke my rod casting.

Went on down to a nearby creek and caught a nice red. As I was trying to locate my camera, the fish flopped out of my hand and back into the water.

Did not get a chance to photograph or measure the fish but estimated that it was high slot range or just slightly over.

Spooked a few more but could not get a bite. The wind picked up and the tide slacked. Needless to say it was a wet, bumpy ride back. I got completely soaked. It was still a great day! Fishing buddy was recalling the events of the day and I got to tell him what BOAT stands for, "Bust Out Another Thousand," as I was telling him of replacing the trailer bunks and hardware, batteries and now needing to replace fishing rods, tackle, and still needing to do the lights and bearings. I was just happy and relieved that nothing happended to the motor/ prop.
