Big creek !

Post by sundown »

This past weekend I had to go to LV on business. Monday afternoon rented a car and went down to Hoover Dam.. This is probably the most amazing structure I ever saw.. Hard to imagine they built something this massive in the 30's.. Saw some large fish in shallow water but was probably 200 plus feet above them.. looked like carp... disregard the date on the picture as I had changed batteries in camera and didnt reset the date correctly..Hope these large files post ok..

Did you take the tour inside the dam? I was there a few years ago and that is a sight to see. They take you down to the generator turbines. You can feel the concrete floor vibrating from the water flowing through. It is an awsome sight and an awesome feat to have been done back then. I can see from the towers sticking up that the water level is down also....

They told us there is STILL heat being generated from the concrete inside the dam curing.
