PCB Report

Post by Ken K »

My wife joined me for a half day fishing trip in PC this week. We caught a total of nine trout with all nine being keepers. A couple were just over 15" but the rest were 18-21 inches. We also caught a couple of nice 5 pound Spanish and a bunch of Skipjacks and Bluefish.

Most of the trout were caught on live Pilchards but I did manage a couple on Top Dogs. The Bluefish seemed to especially enjoy a red head Yozuri Crystal Minnow.

The most excitement of the day came when a big Jack Crevalle hit a Cast Master spoon I was throwing near the Pass. There was no turning it with 8 lb line and it made one long run and cut me off on the rocks at the end of the Jetty.

The next day Cindy stayed home and we went chasing Tarpon on the beach. We saw at least thirty fish but could never get one to eat. I am starting to get a better understanding of why some people refer to them as the "elusive" Silver King.
Here is Cindy with a nice little trout. Nobody would take my picture.

Looks like PC is producing more fish than any place in our area. Nice report on a nice trip.

Photos are usually taken of the person who caught the fish. Is this some indication of who caught fish on this trip?
What was I supposed to do today?

Ken, don,t tell Old Dog you caught those trout on live bait, he won,t talk to you ever again. :D

Hard luck with the tarpon.
My ambition is still to SEE one, I will then have the ambition to CATCH one.
