Anyway Allison and I got into some hungry spanish ESE of the birdrack. Played with them for about an hour and kept a good one for the box. Drove over to the Peters Rock area and idled North until we got to about 4 feet of water. Picked up one short and one keeper trout. 70-72 degrees on the flats. That was it. Set up a few drifts all the way to the shoreline - SW wind had picked up and we headed back. Too rough to spot the spanish where we left them so we just took it to the hill.
Some guy was tubing with his kids in the no wake zone right at the intersection of the two rivers.
Maybe its an insurance scam. And another pontoon boat was beached next to the dock at the fort with his 20 grubby kids splashing around in the water like its Carrabelle Beach. Nowhere to put the boat and go get my trailer. 
Anyway eventually we got it all loaded up and headed home for a second consecutive night of fresh fish for dinner. Keeper trout came on an electric chicken Exude soft plastic jerkbait.
Spanish require the smallest silver spoon you've got - found some tiny 1/8th Oz ones at Rivers made by Cotton Cordelle - they work but the silver gets knocked off the lead spoon material because they're designed for fresh water. Find the ripples on the surface and cast around. Small glass minners is what they were feeding on. If you can't get close enough let the spoon sink and jig it up from the bottom. We were getting them in about 12 feet over sandy bottom.
