I must say seeing the top dog dart from side to side was pretty amazing to see. Now all I have to do is catch something on it

Walk The Dog Retrieve
I finally got the whole walking the dog action down this week perfectly.

Way ta go there mojokoko
It's a thing of beauty ain't it
Make sure you practice start'n and stop'n. Sometimes ya get so excited at seeing the blasted thing doing what ya want, ya hate to stop. But if you can learn to walk it just a couple of steps and then let it set for a few seconds or even a minute then start it up again you'l find you will get a bunch of strikes when it's set'n still. Especially this time of year.

With bass fishing, I always struggle to take up the slack quick enough to set the hook in time. With most saltwater fish, they almost set it themselves, just wait for the pull.
If the fish are finicky, pausing it works sometimes, other times it spooks them.
We were fishing spooks for bass when I was first learning to use a baitcaster. I caught many fish that hit it the second I twitched it, usually after sitting still for a minute while I picked out a backlash.
