I fished Steinhatchee area on Friday. Three of us fished and caught 85 Trout, maybe a few more. I caught 9 and one flounder. All of mine were between 18" and 20". The founder was small. My compadries were fishing with live shrimp and lots of theirs were pretty small. They had about 10 keepers. A fellow by the name of Dan picked up some really big Trout at Wakulla Beach (West side and out)24" + and also some Spanish Mackeral. Several of the guys caught Redfsih around the lighthouse. One of our new yankee members went out for his second time in the gulf and caught a Redfish over three feet long, and lost it bringing it into the kayak by the lioghhouse peir. I guess I need to teach everyone how to kick the big ones into the cockpit. Some members went out to Stony Bayou from the backside and caught Redfish, and Jason C picked up several Slot Redfish around 23" in Ochlocknee Bay. I had no luck off of Roho Road, Bottoms Road, Purify Bay, and only caught one Trout at Oyster Bay. Terrible tides.
