Got some time to take the boat out Saturday and decided to hit the river. Didn't get on the water until about 1:00 and the bite was slow. Took me while to get a bite but finally got a couple of small Bream. Did catch three Catfish, two of them on Stink bait and one on a cricket with a 12 foot Beam Buster(that was fun). The bream bite was slow and I think it's because the water is still cool(not aggressive at all). Oh yeah I did catch a small bass on my little ultra light. It was foul hooked so, it is that much funner getting it too the boat. I only took two pics of the Bass then released her. The Bream were only biting Crickets, wouldn't have nothing to do with worms. Final tally was 7 Bream and 3 Catfish from 1:00 to 5:00. Another buddy of mine put in at Old Iron Bridge and went down, fished from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 and only kept 10 bream. I still think the water is a little cool for them. Oh yeah, I was about half way between Old Iron Bridge and Hwy 12.
