Keaton 3/25

Post by dawghouse1 »

A buddy and I made a late trip to Keaton. We put the boat in the water at 2pm and headed north. We worked our way from 3' to the grass trying to get to where we have caught some good fish in the past. Not much water but we managed 1 19" red before we moved looking for a little more water. We set up a drift in about 4' that should take us inside the bars we caught fish last week. We immediately caught several shorts and 1 keeper trout. When we got inside the bars we picked up another 19" red and a short. Couldn't get any trout in close so we moved back out to 3-4'. Ended up with 7 keepers to 19". We lost a good one at the boat and caught about 10 shorts. Caught everything on soft plastics. Water temp. @ 2:00 was 73.
