Picked up a legal Red on a rootbeer artificial shrimp. Stingray also on live bait. New wife wanted to go shark fishing. Caught some pins for bait. Fished East pass, caught 6 in 3 hours-I'm not swimming in there. She was pulling one in and a ladyfish literally jumped in the boat w/ us!
I didn't lose him, I just didn't feel like having to take the hook out!

Would that have been a DOA "rootbeer artificial shrimp" ?

When there is not much else happening, sharks can be fun.

Yeah, it was a DOA. I put the shark on the grill w/ butter garlic and lemon and grilled it- was good. Also, I've seen on here where people said you could eat sailcat, so I kept one and cooked it the same way and it was good!!
