First Fishing trip of the year , turned out to be a gooood one! Put in at Sheilds , wanted to run motor for a while before taking to the open water ran fine so we were off. Went out to bird rack and headed S.E trolling for Macks, quickly loaded up all I wanted. Had 3 24"plus with 12 in all. Which is about all my smoker can handle. proceeded to head near shore for some Trouts. first cast with popping cork 3' deep rigged with gulp new penny landed a fat 25 incher :lick: after abuot 5 shorts got another gator 27". Love to here that drag zing  Then nothing but shorts :smt004 pulled up and moved 200 yrds and set up another drift, once again first cast keeper then 10 later head to the hill. Great day with my two sons,Clint 15 and Cody 6 Who caugt his first Mack and Speck today,He's Hooked and for the first time in a while I out fished Clint and man did I rub it in. Buy the way. did all this in 4 hrs. Aint life Grand :D Got to the house and wife had just fineshed smoking some ribs, what luck , quickly filleted macks smokin as Iwrite this

That is a FINE day of fishing. A 27" trout and a 24" spanish will put a burning on a spinning reel. good job
