Stradic Bail problem

I have a stradic 2500 that is less than a year old that is driving me crazy. The bail closes on me while casting. Snapping a 30 lb leader and watching a $5 lure sail off into the sunset does wonders for your calmness.

I can spin the bail until it stops once I open it and it casts fine, but what is the value of an infinate stop if I have to spin it to a specific spot to get it to cast?

Any ideas on how to correct this?

I lost a two lures the other week when Chalk and I were fishing doing the same thing. My issue, I think, was that I was not fully opening the bail when I was getting ready to cast.
