Lanark Report, 7/5/2003 - Scalloping

Post by dbplug »

4 hours, 4 scallops. Water has cleared just slighly. Stayed on the NE side of Lanark Shoal. Tried 2 feet, tried 4 feet. Wife and kids on board, we all had fun anyway. Wife looked pretty good, any body got a pic of her?

Would they be in deeper water on the south side of Lanark Shoal?

no, we only tried for an hour. i found one whole scallop(a big old one probably from last year) and i also found 1/2 of one that i guess somebody had cleaned and tossed back. we were shotgunning 1 beer for every scallop we found, so i had to count the 1/2 :D

We got 3 scallops in 1/2 hour on Saturday! Had to retreat to Dog Island after that great catch to have an afternoon-long shucking and cerveza consumption contest. Shucking was over pretty quick, but the cerveza lasted all day long....

Fortunately I had caught a redfish earlier, so we didn't have to go hungry...

Kid, friends kids, friends, and wife had more fun at DI anyway...

My wife looked good too -- did anyone get a picture of her?
