Fishing was fairly decent on both days athough the red drum remains elusive to us. Calvin and I were fishing with David (ddb) on his boat. Splashed the boat in at around 4.00 pm and fished until around 8.00 pm on Saturday. Kept 8 trout but the shorts to keeper ratio was almost 3 to 1. Also caught a bonus spanish - not too bad for 4-5 hrs of fishing. We left the channel on Sunday at around 7.00 am and had a fish on on the first cast....knew it was going to be a good day. We had our limit at around 2.30 pm along with 3 spanish. Made it back to Tifton right at 6.00 pm. It was a good weekend for sure. Most fish were caught on plastic in 3-5' water. Went shallow during high tide to look for reds but didnt catch a thing.

To Reel Slow - We arrived too late to follow them in on Friday, we pitched Catch 2000's over the oyster bars on the falling tide, with no takers. We did follow it in on Saturday, but the wind was blowing us in and the tide was pulling so it was a bit agrivating with a weak trolling motor. The trolling motor eventually gave out and we had to head for deaper water. Wish the wind hadn't been so strong, I think we could have picked up a few. The trout we were catching out deeper were on the small side and we were hoping to pick up a few larger ones along with some reds. I'll hit it again when I get my trolling motor issues worked out.
