Lanark Report, 7/2/03

Post by dbplug »

Hit the water at 7:30AM, smooth as glass, winds about 5 mph from the sw. Fished ne side of lanark shoal, wind shifted w. Very dark water, even in 2'. Catfish, pins, grunts - all on grubs. One BIG roll on a mirrolure. No Luck. Rain moved in about 10:AM, Waited a little while, no dice. Left the ramp at 11:00.

Only 3 other boats and the MAN out there this AM. The MAN said he was pretty sure that the scallops were there, but they have also told me that I could catch all the 29"-30" reds I wanted. Those guys can be pretty funny.

All kidding aside, every one of the MEN I have ever met were really good folks. They are ready for you scallopers, be legit. Hope the water clears up.

Yep, you can catch all the 29-30" reds you want, BUT you had better not keep any.
