Set my sights on Spanish in St Joe and started before first light.
If I hadn't been thinking Spanish I would have been at the head of the bay where I hear the trout were cooperating.
I prefer to catch Spanish on top with a Chug Bug. New hooks and teeth make that plan a little easier in the daytime. Hadn’t really thought of that, or figured I’d cross the bridge when I came to it. That took all of one cast. I survived and released 5 decent Spanish and a couple of ~3 lb Bluefish before first light. The Spanish were less than 20â€

Taken from the city pier. Getting there from where I caught the fish was an event -especially against that wind with the fish busy swimming in the other direction.
