Killer day today. Left Bottoms ramp at 12:45 with a stiff south wind. Windy conditions + a good chop= a rough ride for a 16" Carolina Skiff. That was fine with me because where I was headed I would be protected. Finally got to my spots and started fishing. I must have caught 20 Reds from 13" to 27" and at least 15 trout up to 23" (no shorts). From the last of the rising through the slack to the first of the falling bait was every where and fish were nailing them. Fished a little deeper channel and the grass lines with rocks. All fish caught on artificial and released to fight another day. Now, on a separate note... I would like to say a little commit on boating etiquette. Because it happened to me today. Don't cut people off or pull up in front of them to start to fish. As a courtesy I always pass a least 100 yards (or more) away from others especially if they're fishing and many times I'll idle down. If they're so close to you that you can see the dumb smile on their face as they wave to you because they have no idea what their doing is in poor taste just bums me out... Anyway after I saw how they cast and handled their boat I figured it was best for me to move on. The best part was they drifted over where the fish would have been and casted to nowhere land...
