I enjoy flounder giggin except having to stay up real late. Start giggin at dark and have some good lights that go down to the waters surface. Also take plenty of bug spray or a good bug suit, not sure if a suit is made to stop NoSeeUms. Look for them in shallow, muddy areas. My buddy and I went out Saturday night and got one nice flatty. The water temp may have to go up just a little more for them to be thick. If I can get Devon on the forum then maybe he can give some better tips for the flounder giggin enthusiasts!

You ain't a real fisherman until you've put the steel to a flatfish :-D

I like to find nice shallow sand bars and hang a lantern over the bow of the boat. One man in the rear on a push pole and one man on the front with da gig. That'll get'r done.

Avon's "skin-so-soft" is the best I've found for no-see-ums - it makes you smell like a french lady of ill repute, but it works. By the way I need to re-stock, anyone sell avon?

LOL

I picked up some blue sunscreen from JRs that is supposed to work on sand gnats. You look like a smurf until you rub it in. Those flying teeth can get so bad you have a hard time thinking straight.
