Carr Lake?

Post by noleflyfisher »

I'm bored. Thinking about dropping the boat in Carr Lake and throwing popping bugs at some bream. Never fished Carr before. Can I put my Hewes in there? Is bream fishing any good in that lake? I fished Iamonia last week and got a few in the boat trails but would like to change my environment. Thanks.

Lots of bream and more than one very nice largemouth in there. I've only fished it in a canoe; but, I've seen plenty of bass boats in there so the hewes should work. It's not very big but usually not very crowed either.

Thanks Eerman. I searched the archives and saw that you have fished Carr on occasion. Figured you'd know.

Chalk, I'm still chasing the reds at Lanark. Between work, building a home, and keeping a six year old entertained, I have been lax in my reporting. I'm still lurking and seeing all the fine reports from everyone. Anyways, here's a bunch of pics from my last few trips. Reports to resume.

Thanks BD. Is the tourney a trout or redfish event? I would love to join everyone and will see if I can make it happen.

Eerman, Carr was a fantastic change of pace. I caught a dozen or so solid bream and a few bass:

Great bass Nole.

The tourney will be best 1 man's limit of trout. Additionally, there will be a big fish pot on the best trout and a big fish pot on the slot redfish with the most spots.
