I can say from experience that these things can be voracious fighters. A couple of years back, I hooked a 42" King, and by the time I got him in the boat, I was sweating bullets. Even after the fight with me doing 360's around the boat about 10 times, I still had to quickly throw him in the cooler with tail sticking out and sit on it till the ice cooled him off a little. Only then, did I even attempt to remove the hook.

I needed one of them billy clubs for him......I would hate to think of what a 5 footer could do. :o

At least a green cobia does not have those teeth. But that is another story.
