Lighthouse 3/30 - First Trip in the new yak

Post by cygraphics »

Late post but iwanted to thank Derfish and his son for the kayak. He posted it in the For Sale section last week and figured I better post the info for my maiden voyage...... Last weekend I met up with my best pal TL who is the captain of Team Miller Lite and we headed for the lighthouse. Fished west of the Lighthouse and were able to take home 3 trout, two of which were pretty nice at 19 and 20" In total I think landed 7 and a few catfish. They were caught using Gulp Shrimp (Penny) and a Power Bait Rootbeer Porgy. Both on jig heads. The first was even caught on a texas rigged line. I was too lazy to change the hook. That's why I'm lipping him like a bass in the photo.

I'm glad your maiden voyage was a success and happy to see the Yak in the water. I'll be looking for you on the flats.
