Easter trip

Post by SHOWBOAT »

Easter Sunday wasn't the best weather, but the future mother-in-law was in town and the ladies wanted to go fishing. Headed to the lighthouse at about about 10:30, with Katie and her mom, Boo and bucket full of shrimp; wondering if I would be able to find them any fish.

We headed west into 3-4' of water and managed 6 reds and 4 trout in about 2 1/2 hours. Largest red was 22" and the largest trout was about the same. Then we took a quick drive up the Wakulla to watch the mullet and bass play in the clear water. Stopped by Jerry's on the way home so the ladies could get their pictures taken for the weekly report. Only kept the one red and a 19" trout.

Came home for honey-baked ham, green beans, twice baked potatos, a couple glasses of wine etc. Great Easter.
In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

Glad you had a good time- I'll be looking for the photo on Jerry's.

I wondered how long you would be incognito after the Gators BBall win....

you just had to bring it up. :smt013

I've never seen so much Gator paraphernalia as I have in the past couple weeks. I didn't even think that many people knew where Gainesville is. That's ok though, like those guys in maze and blue say; the Buckeyes don't have rebuilding years, programs like that just reload. Hopefully we'll see 'em again next fall.
