All right T²
Fish are in more than likely in less than two foot, look for the bait...Finding the bait and using lures that mimic bait will be a good pattern to follow this time of year. Trout have started holding row, odds are they will feed good for a couple more weeks and then lay, I would speculate around May 2 (Full Moon)...After they throw their eggs, you will see some voracious appetites (St. Joe
).
For those catching trout in 5-7 ft of water, those are more than likely offshore fish working their way back in.

The get togethers (meetings, tournements) are a good time for whole family. Fish at Carrabelle this Satuday and eat at Beef O'Brady's next Thursday, which is $1.00 Coors Light night, I think. Come by and join us.
What everyone has forgot to mention is that once you look around and hear the words you must first remove the bovine fecis that generally only leaves about 5-10 minutes of information from an all day tournement. You must then factor in the human error into the formula (some people will give you information on the last tournement). Then and only then will you be able to use said information and knowledge. The formula looks simliar to this:
[2(3x+1y)^2]-3y(3x-5y)+ Credible Information

ALL the trout I have caught over the past 2 weeks have had roe in them. I tend to agree with what Chalk said, but I haven't caught any trout over the past 2 weeks in anything less than 3 ft.
The bite has been really good in 4-8 ft. over the grass beds with scattered sand holes. However, with the temperature changing back on the rise during the week, I will be trying the shallow water again. With the lack of rain, I hope for overcast conditions this weekend to help offset the water clarity and be a little more sneaky in shallow water. The fish are definately looking for the bait, again as Chalk said, and have agressively bit live shrimp fished on the bottom when nothing else seemed to work. I agree the bite will be great in a few weeks after the full moon and plan on doing alot of feeding

Here is the most honest fishing plans you will hear on this thread. I have never ran out of the Carrabelle River. My plans will be to run back to the west and hit some spots where I used to wade fish years ago. I feel most people will run east back towards Lanark Village, Turkey Point and one or two to Dog Island. The spots I plan to hit are good for trout, the main problem will be the Spanish, Blues, Lady Fish and the Pompano. I will be using my trusted jerk bait or a grub. No treble hooks or poping corks on this trip. If you see me east of the river it means the fish weren't to the west.TroutTrent wrote:I've got my pen and am ready, let the BS begin
